Hearing about what happened during World War II is one thing, but what if you could actually watch the different commercials that aired during that time or view short clips of footage that was filmed to really get a feel for what was going on during it? Need a refresher on that biology lesson or a visual on how something is pronounced? YouTube has thousands of different videos that can help give you a quick visual reminder with any and all subjects.
Two TOPs would end the world. But it would be glorious.

In Case You Missed It of the Day: An unidentified homeless man is fighting for his life after his face was nearly eaten off by a naked attacker Saturday on a downtown highway ramp in Miami.
The attacker has been identified as Rudy Eugene, a 31-year-old homeless man. Some are speculating that he may have been high on LSD.
“He was ripping into his face with his teeth,” said Miami resident Larry Vega, who witnessed the attack. “He was ripping his skin, his neck. He had him held down. The guy couldn’t move really, and he was just tearing into his flesh. … You see these things in the movies, but when you see it up front and up close, it’s pretty traumatic. It really is.”
When a police officer approached and told Eugene to get off his victim, Eugene just kept chewing. The officer fired a warning shot, but Eugene ”just stood… with pieces of flesh in his mouth and he growled,” Vega said.
The officer then shot and killed Eugene.
As for the unfortunate victim, “much of his face was gone, the skin ripped away, the nose bitten and the eyes gouged,” according to the Miami Herald. He is in critical condition.
“We’re hoping that he pulls through, for his well-being, but also so he can tell us what happened,” said Sgt. Javier Ortiz, of the Miami police union. “Only he knows.”

Help out a mother in the struggle
up there is a picture of me and my mom - my mom’s in that striped sweater.
For the past several months, she’s been experiencing mega hardcore tooth ache that keeps her up all night in addition to other aspects of her deteriorating health. My mom does have community health insurance that lets her get an annual check up and other services upon request - what she can’t do is go to the dentist. She’s a single mother and has been one for quite awhile and she’s strong about/with it but things get rough sometimes working on commission w/o enough business for her to save up money. I am unemployed and sometimes have community engagements that help me earn a few bucks.
This society has told people like my mom that if you’re working class you shouldn’t ask about or ask for money - that you should be weird about it even if it could help you. The politics of capitalism aside, I’m asking on behalf of my mother to help her out.
I’m trying to raise $300 for her that would help her get a check up, consultation, and her tooth extracted. Please donate what you can/what is comfortable for you and help spread the word.
My mom’s revolutionary and I can’t do half of the stuff I do today without her lessons of humility, modesty, and badassery.

Signal boosting. I seriously know how fucked up it can be to have no money and need a dentist. I’ve been dragging paying for my teeth out for literally years now. If you have any money, seriously send some their way. I think dental care is something people really take advantage of and don’t understand how much of a privilege it is to not have to worry if you’re going to fucking die of an abscess or something one day because that tooth that was so painful you wanted to die suddenly quit hurting and you know it’s still bad.

Trayvon Martin gun range targets sell out — because many ‘conservatives’ are really just assholes.

An unidentified entrepreneur admits he is trying to profit off Trayvon Martin’s death by selling gun range targets featuring the teen who’s death has sparked a nationwide controversy.
Although Martin’s face does not appear on the paper targets, they feature a hoodie with crosshairs aimed at the chest. A bag of Skittles is tucked in the pocket and a hand is holding a can resembling iced tea.
Martin purchased both items minutes before he was shot and killed by George Zimmerman in February, according to police.
Zimmerman’s lawyer believes this sort of thing isn’t helping his client. “This is the highest level of disgust and the lowest level of civility,” says attorney Mark O’Mara. “It’s this type of hatred — that’s what this is, it’s hate-mongering — that’s going to make it more difficult to try this case.”
According to the report, the seller — a prick who wisely wishes to remain ananymous — says the targets “sold out in 2 days.”
There are a lot of real assholes out there.
If I ever see any racist fucker with one of those targets at a gun range, I can’t be held responsible for what happens after that.
